UMinho Editora publisher, created on 14 December 2018, is a project of the University of Minho, coordinated by the Rectory and the Documentation and Libraries Service. It publishes works in digital and/or paper format, of high scientific, pedagogical and cultural quality, aimed at higher education and the general public, promoting teaching, research and the prestige of UMinho.

The publications are organised into six collections with complementary graphics and formats. Education, Research, Documents, Minutes, Science and Culture for All, and Essays for Sustainability, the latter in partnership with the Mestre Casais Foundation.

At the same time, special editions are produced with higher production values.
